Both of my rottys would do that. It was so great to see them both do that on the couch.

@MetalHeadImCool I adopted a 6 year old from the pound, and she is a teddy bear!! I would recommend that if you get an older dog that you keep him/her as the only dog you have. They do get jealous, and generally are very protective of their main owner/handler. They want constant attention or some kind of job to do. They will lay at your feet or put their heads in your lap all day if you want. You do have to take the role as pack leader from the very beginning, or the dog will assume it.

I feel sad because I am a huge dog lover but have had nothing but bad experiences with Rotti's! It's not the dogs fault either, it's always the owners and poor socialization. This one looks so gentle and sweet! His face looks a lot like my black Labs'

@MetalHeadImCool I have a rotty, she's well trained. I adopted her when she was 1 yr old 4rm a responsible owner. She's a sweetheart, she loves kids. We have her trained in the way, that if a stranger comes 2 the house w/o us escorting them she will bark. Otherwise, she is super playfull. We talk 2 her alot, so she knows a lot of words like,"NO!, Stop, Lets' go,Where is it?, " Love & attention is the key.BTw, i find chihuahua's more aggressive i've been attacked by those. :-(

@MetalHeadImCool Dude if anyone should have gotten a horrable bite frome a rottie its me. i climbed all over my dads breeding treo and all they did was roll over and ask for more. rotties are an amazing bread. i know that as soon as i start having kids of my own ill have a rottie in my house and sleeping either at the foot of my bed or next to my childrens bed. the only time that i ever saw one get aggressive was when someone came in our yard the "wrong way".

@MetalHeadImCool I'm on my second Rescue Rottweiler.. I love them so much.. They have such amazing personalities. I will ALWAYS have in my life. Must keep the socialized, also, obedience training. They'll do anything to please their people.. When I walk my little resuce mutt, shown in this pic, and my Rottie, everyone is afraid of the Rottie and wants to pet the little one. The Rottie is the NICE ONE..lol Good luck!

@MetalHeadImCool I know there are a lot of misconceptions out there about rotties. SUCH rubbish! If you get a puppy from a reputable breeder and take him/her for puppy socialization immediately from eight weeks of age - again to a trainer that knows what they're doing, you'll be well on your way to having a balanced, affectionate dog. Educate yourself in how to raise your pup - NO hitting EVER, NO harsh training methods, reward-based training rather than any punishment at all. Good luck!

Respond to this video... a rotty is probably better temepered than i jack russell the difference is when a rotty decides to lose it then they do sum serious damage where as a jack russell doest do as much so treat a rotty the way u would want to be treated and u will have no problem stop listening to narrow minded fuks and think for your self
