You are an excellent pianist. However, you are too young to play Chopin poetically well. At this age, maybe you can try to master Mozart or Bach, or even Beethoven.

Derek, you've got a good ear and phenomenal technique for your age. Work on the legato, especially on the right hand! When striking the key, try not to make it so sudden, but gradually ease into it. On the fast auxilliary passages (forgot the technical term), make it more sweeping than digital. In the middle section, put more power into it! ease into each note in melody with your body weight. Gesture always comes before accuracy. I'm a 17 year old amateur pianist; it was a pleasure hearing you!
