  • our fitter would would shoot us if we took the air cleaner off our rail saw. coz when you cut rail there are lots of shiney bits of metal floating around.

  • @maoriwood quite simply the cutter has the wrong spark plug in hence the removal of the air filter and i take your point of the consequenses of doing just that.

    Your comment is greatly appreciated,

    Thanks.

    Joe.

  • Thank you Miglovaras its not easy avoiding the sparks!

  • That's a BADASS angle grinder.........

  • Only flame a rail if its next destiation is gate stoop or scrap yard.

  • @Max3brothers Yes you can but in just about all cases it is not recommended. In a lot of cases it is totally against the rules. Gas cutting of rails and cutting holes for the bolts leaves rough edges which could act as a stress riser and cause cracking of the rail. The heat of the gas cut also alters the steel and could again cause cracking

  • can you cut through rail with a cutting torch?

  • Holy shit that is awesome

  • Bravo!
