Very informative. I'm still leaning towards the cuttlebug though since I have the cricut that some cuttlebug folders coordinate with. Michael's is currently having a buy one get one 50% off sale right now so I'm trying to decide whether to buy BOTH but it seems the sizzix one's only advantage is that it can accommodate bigger dies but the rest the cuttlebug can do anyway.

i think the big shot is better as you get extender plates that mean you can cut much larger items eg gift boxes etc which is impossible on the cuttlebug. Also there are more and more 5x7" embossing folders on the market which either machine can use so big shot doesnt lose out there either!

I work in a craft shop..at the end of this month i have my birthday coming up.. i've always wanted a cuttlebug (getting to use them at work helped my decision) But then a customer said the big shot is better, your video here helped me decide..Cuttlebug for definite i already know what plates to use for what..so thank you for the helpful video.

Thanks for the comparison! I knew the cuddlebug was smaller in size and accepted smaller dies/embossing folders....just never compared the two.

I belong to a "Stampin Up" stamp club, and they sell stuff for the bigshot, so I got the bigshot as it can accommodate bigger dies, embossing folders and such. Plus they have special dies/folders you can't buy anywhere else! (I JUST got the bigshot lastnight, but been online browsing at the accesories)
