DISCLAIMER: Please do not start any exercise program without first talking to your doctor.

Also, please do not assume that because I can exercise that your friend or family member who has POTS should be able to as well. I cannot stress enough how different all of us are.

POTS varies so much from person to person. None of us are exactly like and we are all capable of different things as our cases vary in severity.

Three years ago exercise was not an option for me whatsoever. Back then I was lucky if I took a few steps without fainting. It has been an incredibly slow process for me to get to this point and I consider myself very lucky.

That being said, I hope I'm an encouragement to those suffering with POTS. It always helped me to hear positive stories about people when I was at my sickest. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!
-----------------------------------

Hi guys! I'm so sorry it's been so long! The last few months I've been going back and forth between being really busy and really sick. It seems like there's no in between these days!

During the Summer I was doing really great. The exercise program totally changed my life and I was able to do more than I had in years. Unfortunately when Autumn came around, I found my symptoms returning. I wanted to talk more about this in the video but got sick before I could finish and at this point I feel like I just need to get *something* up before you guys forget me!

It's also taking me forever to put videos up because I'm a perfectionist and I'm never happy with them. lol. I filmed the last part of this when I was really sick & I feel like I came off kind of miserable...if so, I apologize. I really need to invest in some lighting because I was freezing cold (& had a cold, lol).

I can't say enough how amazing it's been talking to all of you. I'm shocked that there are so many of us with such similar stories! Please continue writing me, it always makes my day. I love hearing about you. I'm sorry if I didn't respond to some of you. My short term memory is bad and I have trouble remembering who I got back to sometimes. If you don't hear from me, feel free to resend your message or comment. :)Thinking of you all. God bless!

I'll have more videos up more often now, I promise!
XOXO, Kyli

  • Thank you so much :) It means a lot.

  • I too think that I have POTS for a reason-- I think I make people be better people-- I mean who else can make perfect strangers help them except an unconscious girl? :-D

  • That's true!! People need to think outside the box when it comes to us!

  • YOU ARE SO AMAZING AND YOUR SPIRIT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!

  • v comment below... fundraising walk... heh... reminds me of a comment on Family Guy for a Lupus Fun Run... I have often thought about putting together a fundraiser, but if you have POTS or Lupus or EDS, walking or running is the LAST thing on your mind... I suppose a girl can always dream, eh?

  • I comented on your part II video a minute ago, I just found these and you have helped me figure out what the heck has been wrong with me! I felt SO alone and empty, I am so sick right now, this moment I can't quit crying because I am not crazy, I am not alone anymore! If you never reach your dream of becoming a Dr, always know you have CHANGED MY LIFE, you SAVED MY LIFE!! I can't wait to call my Dr first thing tomorrow! I am so sick now, feel like I am breathing through water! thank you!

  • Hey ! I always knew you were a strong person growing up! I can see you being a national spokesperson for POTS or even start a fundraising walk to raise money for research on POTS. I wish you the best with your health and I pray all your dreams come true! BFF Heather O (M)

  • Kyli, YOU are my HERO! I've just figured out that I have POTS, and my dr's don't get it. My HR goes from 70s lying down to 120-150 within 30 seconds of standing up, and I have no cardiac problems. I just became a nurse, and the 12 hour shifts are literally killing me, I can't keep it up, I just PUSH myself to keep going. I pass out in the shower, too. I LOVE your videos, and when I get down I look at them and cheer up!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

  • Congratulations on the start of your journey regarding school. I'm starting that journey all over again too, so maybe we can keep each other posted! :)

  • You have such a great attitude with having POTS, you seem really strong, keep up the good work and I love your videos=]

    Love Stacey

  • Hi gal I did this with a physical therapist covered by insurance and they monitor all and even blood pressure changes..sometimes goes well and hopeful but do not get discouraged in the times you have to take time outs
