As part of the Ctrl.Alt.Shift Unmasks Corruption exhibition we collaborated with Onedotzero to bring together a compilation of moving image work including animations and archive material, which explore politics through comic-style work.
Created as a fictional back story to the global problem of the displacement of peoples, Black Day to Freedom portrays a city in turmoil with the loss and tragedy of a young family at the centre of the tale. Animated entirely in After Effects, the piece is both unique in appearance and powerful in impact.
I would love to see a tut for this, the camera work is amazing, especially for after effects, how long did it take to make? were all the buildings composited in ae too? Even the cabinets and furniture ?
