@righttoright1 You are a sad little person. You deserve your misery. We don't. Now, take a walk.

One of the most beautiful things i've ever witnessed. I'm 17 and I wish more people my age could be involved. Love you Pete :)

Truth well spoken.

@mikeygeneral: Pete sung this on behalf not only of PRIVILEGED (learn to spell) white heterosexual men's, but everybody aisdes from Wall Street parasites. We want the piece of the pie because we contribute our labour the most in making that pie, but the Wall Street CRONY CAPITALIST PARASITES just take the lion's share BECAUSE THEY RELY ON STATE POWER. Read Left-Libertarian authors on the matters, you ignorant boot-licker.

@KeldinEtc He also marched with them after playing at Symphony Space that night, they went to Columbus Circle and that's where this was taken. This was October 21, 2011. He looks old, well, he's 92, and a bit frail but enthusiastic and very into it.

@KeldinEtc IT WAS REALLY HIM. It is a night scene and not very well lit. A crowd of people are gathered near a fountain. The camera pans over the crowd until on the right-hand side it lands on a little knot of people huddled around a microphone. In the intermittent flashes from cameras you can see him. He has a grey jacket and a red stocking cap. Standing next to him is Arlo, Tom Paxton, and Guy Davis, grandson Tao Rodríguez-Seeger, Tom Chapin & David Amram were also there.

Pete is one of the most talented Americans, can you believe, in one of his songs he said "eat a little food, drink a little drink and all you have to shit a little shit..." he is the one that makes me think "No need to be hopeless for America" Thank you Pete, I hope to celebrate your 100 th birthday...

This brings a tear to my eye. God bless you Pete!

Was he really THERE in that--or were they just using a recording of him to go along with? (honest question as I'm blind and can't see who's actually in the picture.) If he's really there--WOW!!!! GO PETE!!
I am discovering the video. In France, we have the same movements. And in all Europe to. I am proud of mister Seeger. Is this the beginning of something ? Are people understanding and ready to break the chains ? No god, no master, no flag, no frontier, no money, no car ?…

@The6568 We certainly hope so. Millions in the US seem ready to move past the destructiveness of neoliberalism (unbridled capitalism). Corporate media controls the narrative for a majority of people here, unfortunately. The Occupy Movement threatens the elite class who control it those media outlets, so OWS are consistently derided. I don't think that control will last much longer, thankfully. When people begin to think for themselves more often, things will improve.

You are not enlisted to fight in IRAQ and die there. What do you want to overcome?

@DannyShaw3388 What does volunteering to take part in some corporate gang bang by invading a sovereign country for control of its nationalized oil reserves have to do with a song about overcoming oppression? Do you have any clue why the west invaded Iraq? Do you know how Saddam Hussein assumed power in Iraq? The IPC ring a bell? Open a damn book, son! Are you that brainwashed? You have a brain, presumably. Why not use it?
