John Adler: a progressive democrat in a blog-rich district (

New Jersey has a deep bench of Netroots talent, so it's no wonder that politicians in the Garden State are intrinsically bloggy. (Most of the time anyway.)

I live in New Jersey's 3rd congressional District and I'm proud to have John Adler as my Congressman and I will be voting to reelect him next year.

adler not able to compete with Myers in terms of environmentally-friendly energy and progress?

psh

myers supports big tax breaks for the big oil companies - who happen to exploit these tax breaks by using the money they're taking from middle class citizens for massive stock buy backs, not renewable energy pursuits!!!!!

ADLER FOR CONGRESS (supported by Sierra Club, by the way)

wow standforliberty you really know the issues. That comment was soooo insightful(NOT!)

And the "genius" of your comment is that Chris has no credible record. He's the MAYOR of MEDFORD! Where the heck did this guy come?

And have you seen his economic plan. His main objective is to save every family well under 100 dollars on a tax rebate. Yea that's what this country's economy needs. Some beyond unproven mayor who under-estimates the weak economy and is too incompetent to make a bold plan.

John Adler seems to go with what is politically expedient? John Adler "seems to go with" what is advisable and favorable to NJ's middle class citizens. Adler promotes what he feels his constituency wants, rather than trying to impress his soon to be, fellow brainwashed Republicans. John does not desire federal favor. He wants progress for NJ....period.

For Myers to try to "make an issue" out of this video is just another indication of how desperate and how intellectually bankrupt, essentially dishonest and deceptive the Myers campaign is being.

If Chris Myers has a problem with free Americans speaking freely; then he should forget about running for office and move to China where "free speech" is a fantasy.

In the case of Myers' ridiculous/stupid attack on this upbeat and positive video; his desperation is only exceeded by his incompetence!!!

Lockheed Martin is the biggest employer in the 3rd district. Chris Myers created thousands of jobs in his renewable energy division of Lockheed.

How can Adler supporters try to make this a campaign issue?

Not to mention, this whole video is insulting to our National Guardsmen and women. I read about this very video in the Asbury Park Press, and I can't believe Adler hasn't taken this down yet. Disgrace.

SJFirst, Adler's lived in South Jersey his whole life, and lived the earlier parts of his life as "the little guy"-- you can watch his bio. video to see that. His past makes him one of the very few politicians who can ACTUALLY understand the constituents he's representing. And also, do we really want a Lockheed Martin, which is a big profiteer of the War in Iraq, representing our views?

Well, SouthJerseyFirst, I believe you are quite wrong. John Adler grew up the little guy as a poor dry cleaner's son who advanced to where he is today -able to represent the modern little guys- through hard work.

A big plus that Chris Myers has is that he worked the renewable energy programs at Lockheed and knows what it takes. He can walk in as an expert on day one... I'm not so sure about Adler on that at all. He just seems to go with what is politically expedient....
