Kayak surf session in 30 + knot onshore at Stanmore Bay...why not?!

what do you do when the wind is blowing 35knts+ ? ... take the kayak out for a surf of course!! In my busy house when given an opportunity to take a break and go for a paddle you take what you can get..onshore wind blowing hard at a consistent 30knots with 35-40knt gusts, not ideal but why not!...join me in this session where I take my Sit on top kayak (Barracuda Fish Pro) out for a paddle in the surf (messy) for an hour or so...some essential kit for this time of year as it is still cold being only the first week in Spring (NZ). I am wearing Pinnacle Lava core under layer which is wind proof... Hydraulics Race Pro PFD...Surf To Summit paddle leash... Carlisle Arctic 185cm paddle...FCS bucket hat with neoprene ear covers which help to protect the ear drums when the waves smash you.. keep watching to the end for some of the crashes i did have while filming...fortunately not when I had the GoPro on the head as it might have been donated to the sea floor!
