Did the MOD ever warn you that rifles can also be hazardous to your health...cuz they kinda kill people. What if you didn't wear gloves while oiling, the rifle slipped out of your hands and went off. Ouch. And, um, what about gun smoke (sulfur?)? If you use both hands to fire the weapon, it's second hand smoke—and that's worse than mainstream smoke, you know!

Of course the oil used to clean and protect the armour is carcinogenic so wearing it should kill me (if we believe every scare story they spin us). A few years back the MOD warned soldiers to wear gloves when cleaning their weapons to avoid getting cancer from rifle oil. Strange when you consider they'd been cleaning weapons for hundreds of years without getting cancer.
