Long Weekend Trip to Ko Samui Island, Thailand

This island is a great tourist destination and offers a variety of things to do and see. I visited the island in December 2010, and this video shows a few of things I did while I was on the island for a long weekend trip. If you are in Bangkok, Ko Samui is just hour or so flight away. Cool video. I'm an American who has a home on Koh Samui, but am currently back in the States.....missing my paradise home. One thing: my wife grew up in Suratthani. Most all foreigners, including you, mispronounce the name of the city/providence. You, and many who I know, say Surrahthani. It's properly pronounced: Suh rha thani. It irritates my wife when people say it wrong! Hurry back to Samui...ain't it great?

@manfrommanteo Thanks for your comment, and yes you are correct, I did mispronounce the name wrong as I do with most Thai names, but I am learning and thank you for helping me out. Don't let your wife watch the video as I do not want to irritate her :) I am sure she understands how difficult it is for us farangs to pronounce some of these names. I envy you since you have a home on Koh Samui, it is a beautiful place and I plan on visiting again.Thanks for subscribing.

@manfrommanteo Well, since I was only there for a long weekend, it is hard to say top five things. But while I was there I rented a motorbike and took off. Taking in all the sites along the road going around the island. Looking at waterfalls, beaches, etc. That was a lot of fun!

I also enjoyed the fisherman's village, I like the night or street market scene in Thailand.

Suhrhatanknee is how it's pronounced. I misspelled the pronunciation...see, I'm not perfect, either!
