5) Oh, also to answer your question about those living non-believers at Christ's coming, the goats. Jesus tells them to depart from Him into eternal punishment (Matthew 25:41 and 46) that was prepared for the Devil and his angels. We see where the Devil goes for his eternal punishment in Revelation 20:10, the lake of fire and brimstone. We also read about this place and who is there in Revelation 14:9-13. Hope this all helps. Blessing in our Savior.
4) That can be found in Rev 20. So when we die, we either go to be with the Lord who is our life /under the altar OR we go to Death/Hades.
We are conscience both places.
One has flame the other has comfort. While we all die physically to get to one of these two places, those who are righteous are raised to life in the first resurrection while those who are unrighteous are raised to damnation and die a second death called the lake of fire.
3) At the Great White Throne judgement, Death and Hades (realm of the dead, the grave) will give up their dead (meaning they are a holding place for the dead and hand over the dead people in them) in order for the dead/non righteous to be judged. The dead are then judged according to their deeds. After that both Death & Hades are thrown into the lake of fire, along with all the people who had been in them, whose names were not found in the book of life. This is the 2nd Death.
2) In the story, the Rich man in the flame can feel, see, hear, reason and talk. He cannot go where Abraham and Lazarus are and Abraham and Lazarus cannot go where he is (in the flame). In the Revelation we see believers/martyrs, who have died prior to Christ's 2nd coming being located in a place called 'under the altar' (Rev 6:9-11).They too are conscience, talking, reasoning, & can even wear a white robe. We seem to go immediately to our holding place, one or the other.>
@mvmof2 At the time Jesus was on earth, He spoke of two men, referred to as Lazarus and the Rich man. One was counted righteous, the other was counted unrighteous. We see the righteous man, Lazarus, in a place of comfort and we see the un-named Rich man *in the flame* and very conscience. Jesus told this story prior to His death and resurrection as if it had already happened in the past. Jesus would not confuse us, this is a true story that also involves father Abraham. (Luke 16) >
@boltingpuppies thank you very much and answering all the questions I had today. I feel I have learned something new today. One last question I have. Is that if we are raised on the last day, and the nonbelivers are raised awhile later, what is happening to them and the ones that don't beileve and are still alive at His coming at the time of our resurrection, and while he is dealing with us and having his reign with us. Thanks
Yes, Jesus said He will raise *believers* on the last day in John 6.
"that of *all which he hath given me* I should lose nothing, but should raise *it* up again at the last day." "that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise *him* up at the last day." "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise *him* up at the last day." cont.
@boltingpuppies Revelation 20 and 1 Corinthians 15 distinguish further between the two resurrections of mankind. Revelation 20 calls resurrection (of the saints/just) the *first* resurrection. Those in the first resurrection are called blessed and holy and are assured that the second death/*lake of fire* has no power over them (v4-6). A little over 1000 years later, those raised later at the Great White Throne Judgement, not found in the Book of Life are cast into the *lake of fire* (v11-15).
@mvmof2 There are two resurrections mentioned in John 5:28-29, the resurrection of life & the resurrection of damnation.
"Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,& shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; & they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."
In Luke 14:14, Jesus calls the first resurrection the resurrection of the just.
