Conspiring school employees hide election information! Marion, Michigan.

Under close questioning, rarely seen at work Marion, Michigan superintendent Charles Chase of Traverse City and clerk Diana Salisbury admit they researched, knew of, and chose to hide election information from their bosses: both the citizens of the Marion Public School district and the school board. This decision occured after consulting with Osceola County Clerk Karen Bluhm.

In immediate danger of losing their jobs after a recall election that removed 3 of 5 targeted school board members, Charles Chase and Diana Salisbury chose to hide Marion Public Schools school board election information from the public.

These are the same two school employees that have participated in: withholding financial information; withholding school board election petitions; misrepresenting their salaries; misrepresenting Marion Public Schools financial standing; illegally banning citizens and board members from public buildings; concealing threats to members of the public; concealing the ownership of a adult video store by a current administrator; making multiple false statements on employee evaluations and to the school board, etc... etc... etc...


Diana Salisbury is the sister of high school principal Larry Johnson. After Larry Johnson was hired, sister Diana has seen her secretary pay balloon from $17,000 to well over $50,000 in salary/benefits and has been made an 'administrator' under Marion Public Schools spoils system... despite having no college degree or experience. The exact amount of money Diana Salisbury takes each year from Marion Public Schools is unknown despite repeated Freedom of Information act and school board member requests.

Under this disfunctional regime, Marion enrollment and test scores have become among the lowest in Michigan.

Never in the history of Marion Public Schools has election deadline information been hidden from the public. Neither superintendent Charles Chase, nor secretary Diana Salisbury had any authorization to hide election information from American citizens.

They chose to do it anyway. They should be removed from public employment immediately.

Marion Public Schools has been recommended for federal investigation.
