Love this band. They were my favorite band back in the days and was lucky to see them live many a times in paradiso.

They were too good for mainsteam. I got the import version of Even Serpents Shine when it came out, was so impresed.

By the way, this version is one of my favourite recordings and The Only Ones do it great when they play it live.

@skywalker909 Yo La Tengo formed in the mid-eighties and were born sometime in the '60s, so this definitely wasn't long before they were born. They probably grew up listening to The Only Ones.
I love both bands and can't quite understand why people feel the need to criticise one or the other. I can only guess some people are basing their opinions on a couple of youtube videos they've seen instead of actually listening or learning about the bands they're slagging off.
