New York City. A Ford Crown Victoria of the NYPD enroute to the Marriott Hotel in Manhattan with two Ford Excursions which appear to have blue LEDs in the grill indicating a Federal Law Enforcement agency. They may belong to the State Department's Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), the Secret Service or another federal law enforcement agency. The black Chevy Suburban appears to be NYPD but as with all the vehicles the color of the lights are difficult to distinguish.

  • They still didn't fix a grill led on the first car...

    P.S. You're lucky :)

  • @nerdlydood The two bottom LED modules in the grille of the Ford is blue indicating that it's probably not a vehicle from any NY state law enforment agency. The CVPI is from the NYPD. NY state passed a change in legislation, allowing emergency vehicles to have rear facing blue lights.

  • @nerdlydood i've read that blue lights are ok on police vehicles on the back only. it does appear some lights in the grill on the first 2 behind the crown vic are blue; could be federal (secret service perhaps)

  • awesome!

  • When did you take these?

  • Can't tell if the Suburban's dash light is red/blue, but the red and blue lights on the Excursions indicate that they probably aren't NYPD.
