E46 M3 @ Brands Hatch 13/11/11

My M3 at Brands on 13th November 2011. Bought the car a week before and wanted to get it on track so I could get used to how the car behaves and a few mates were doing this trackday with spaces left so thought I'd jump on it. Loved the car, can't wait till next year to get some real experience in it.
As you can see, I had the M track traction control enabled and although it is meant to let you 'play' a bit more it was cutting in way too much! So I turned it off at 7:50, see what happens....LOL
P.S. that's not me making those noises it's the passenger! lol

Hi mate, you've had some nice cars. In a straight line what was quicker, the MPS or this M3?

Thanks mate much appreciated. I'd say the M3 but it's so hard to tell. The Mazda 'felt' quicker due to the way the turbo delivers the power but once the M3 is moving it really is a machine. The only way I can compare is racing mates who I was quite level with in the MPS but the M3 pulls away, there's not alot in it. I could have mapped the MPS and been quicker than this but it's not about the straight line speed in the M3, despite people seem to think they're supercars!

Was there that day too (silver 328), think you were the fastest thing there - is that car standard? Thought it had a CSL spoiler.

Hi mate, thanks for that comment :) Na it's not standard, I just posted the mods to another guy that was also there on the day. And yeah it's got a CSL spoiler and exhaust surround.

Hi mate, Good save @ 8:10 !!! I was there that day in the red & gold MK1 Escort. Was a great day until the exhaust manifoled blew.

Thanks for the reply fella. Ice always liked both the M3 and the MPS so next car is going to be one of the two. Both have their plus points, but the M3 does look like a machine. I really look forward to more videos of the M3

Hi mate. Your car was bloody lovely. Was admiring that in the pits on the break! It's not standard by any means.

It's on KW V3's, AP brakes front and rear, Shrick Racing Cams, Supersprint Manifold, Miltek Exhaust & Thorney Remap. Have Michelin Pilot Sport Cups to use on track but as this was a last minute decision (midnight the night before) didn't have time to put them on so was only running Goodyear Eagle F1's. I had a Mazda 3 MPS and the handling of this M3 is unreal compared

Nice vid is the car standard or got a few upgrades was suprised the speed you were carrying through the bends i was in the red evo
