@chevroletZ28b You have to have at least 2 years experience as a sworn police officer. That's just optional though if you have college credit or if you have military experience.

hey, the requirements are only high school diploma, 60 credit hours at a college, and you must be 21, no deputy expiernce needed, just thought id help!!!

so how hard is it to become a trooper? im in the Marines right now and looking to eas and become one. Seems a lot more along the lines of the military than city cops for the most part, and would be a lot easier choice than going back to being a mechanic like before i enlisted. the transition between the Marines and a civilian is a rough one...

Nice video brother. I'm a BIG supporter of the KSP and I myself am going into the KSP one of the other requirements to be a trooper is to have 2 years as a peace officer, which is like a deputy, I live in Stearns so I'm hoping I can talk to our Sheriff and get a deputies job for at least 2 years while he's in office. And after that I'll be well on my way as a Kentucky State Trooper

That is a rather narrow and juvenile comment towards those that work everyday putting their lives on the line to keep us safe. I hope you remember this comment on the day that you need them, then you will feel differently. Yes, the tickets can be annoying, but dragging a dead 16 year old out of a car and telling their parents their child will never come home is 10 x worse.

haha yeah - they were having just a little bit of fun there. I guess settling the KVE vs KSP debate (prolly racing to catch the speeders hehe) and yes, I still say that grays are faster !
