For the first time, watch as we drive the course for the to-be-announced-today New Jersey F1 race -- the Formula One Grand Prix of America, starting in 2013. Unlike the Austin F1 race, the New Jersey race will run on a road course that will be approximately 3.1 miles long when it's completed. Come with us as we drive it in a Jaguar XKR. No courageous driving here -- just informative!

  • Any chance of you doing this during daylight? and putting the camera up on the dashboard so we could get a good view

  • Dude, this video sucks. With the camera on the side of the car we can't see anything and on top of that it is nighttime and to top if off you are driving the circuit backwards. You are going in the opposite direction of the race.

    You wasted your time.

  • 1) You're going the wrong way.

    2) Move the camera on top of the car. You're using a suction cup so there's no reason why you can't mount it on top.

    3) You're "informative" description is a little off. Austin is actually a road course, whereas New Jersey is going to be a street course; like Monaco, Valencia, Melbourne and Singapore.

    4) When... I repeat, when you re-attempt this video, speed it up by 200%. No one likes to watch you sit at a stop light for 3 minutes or get stuck behind a buss.

  • Can't see shit captain

  • Please put camera on top of the car like F1 onboard view.

  • move along, nothing to see here. useless

  • for some reason anything with the words new and jersey in it just makes me hate it

  • Haha this is the worst video I've ever seen! A promising concept I'll give you that.

  • @DaveFrankovic Nope, got a purpose built track just up the road. See you there in Nov. 2012.

  • Wow. I drive through this area all time. Before all of the development of new townhouses and ferry parking, it was a great place to "park". Chicks really liked the low level view of the NY skyline across the river.

JFK blvd above, has park benches that you can sit on for a higher level over view of the same skyline.

Still go through there solo sometime when I need to clear my head. Can't imagine those local residents will be happy about those roaring F1 engines tho when races come to town.

  • @jddh1 This is okay if you have no other videos of the track, but a daytime video with a more traditional car view that runs in the correct direction was uploaded one day before (watch?v=Bxvbfm8P47Y).

  • Good work on the video! If it is in the wrong direction, as suggested, I'd take on board the in car/dash-mounted cam, would probably show more. @mutato192; agree very residential! Interesting to see how they barrier/protect these areas... Would love to own one of those houses!
