Aretha doesn't need to hop up and down on the stage to get attention (she's 66 years old now). Not everyone is into that. Aretha is 1st and foremost a musician. Her voice is her art. By and large, most of the best black female singers are not these small, waif girls. How unfortunate it is that video has taught people that looks are more important than actual talent. Most laypeople don't even recognize that they're not listening with their ears anymore but by what they see.
