Alice's Restaurant in Woodside, CA

This particular restaurant was named after BOTH the original owner, ALICE, and Arlo Guthrie made up a song entitled "Alice's Restaurant" about a THEN-fictitious restaurant. All hikers, bikers and horseback riders love the food and reststop here!

Did you end up finding it? It is on the edge of San Mateo/Santa Clara Counties--in Woodside, CA--along the ridgeline of the Santa Cruz Mtns--obviously beautiful surrounded by all those trees! AND, the food is DELICIOUS, too!

I used to work as a waitress in Alice's Restaurant and also help pump gas in the gas station back in 1968-69.  It was a lot of fun. I remember when Alice had a pool table inside the restaurant and had lots of party's. The food today is still great.

Even though I don't live close to it, I will always come visit as much as possible.
