Our intermediate jack station is made of a specially fabricated pipe which can be extended and retracted. At the end of our jacking ,we only remove the inner bracket and the jacks, leaving the intermediate station behind. The second half of the pipes is then jacked until the gap is closed. Of course somebody need to go down there and dismantle the thing..hope this help..
One thing the video doesn't cover, is how do you remove the intermediate jacking frame at the end of the job? I imagine you'd have to send a person down the pipe and have them dismantle the thing, haul the pieces up to the surface, and then jack the second half of the pipe up against the first to close the gap? Anyhow, I'm curious about that aspect of the operation. Thanks.
When dealing with a wet sandy enviroment, There seems to be little choice BUT to Pipejack... But some how it still seams wrong to me. There has to be a better way specially when dealing with micro tunneling. I know of a few ways but, I might try to get a few patents before disclosing openly on the nets.

Excellent vid. I had an exam question on pipejacking like this 3 years ago.
