Motorbike ride through the village of Haworth and Stanbury in the Worth Valley, West Yorkshire. Haworth is home of the Brontë sisters, is where I went to Middle School, and neighbours Oxenhope, the village in which I spent the first 16 years of my life.

This part starts on Blackmoor Road, between Oxenhope and Haworth, turns left onto Brow Top Road, then descends Brow Road, before climbing Bridgehouse Lane, turning right onto Rawdon Road (hello old school!), turning left at the top onto North Street, then West Lane. We continue into the start of Stanbury, but don't enter the village itself, opting to turn left instead onto Reservoir Road and finally ascend Moorside Lane for the return to Oxenhope.

Due to a copyright infringement notice from WMG, I have replaced the original Mike Oldfield soundtrack with one from the AudioSwap facility. Clearly WMG aren't happy with me marketing their artists at no cost.

I am generating no income from this video, so their case for flagging copyright infringement seems odd; all the more so when I have had viewers state that they've gone on to buy music off the back of the video.

So - I'll happily oblige by not promoting their music any more!

  • Riding the CBF 1000? how are you enjoying it, I'm thinking of a purchase.

  • I love the bike. It won't appeal to the boy-racer community, but it is a great all-rounder. I ride my bike all year round as a commuter and tourer and it hasn't put a foot wrong yet. Loaded up with luggage (GIVI, not Honda's own) and the missus I had a great spin up to Shetland last year. There's plenty of power when you need it to get out of trouble, as it has a detuned Fireblade engine, and it just feels great to ride. If I were to get a new bike tomorrow, I'd get another Biffer.

  • Thanks for your nice comment. Yes, Discovery is a good album. I like Mike's 1980's output personally, in addition to the classic 70s stuff. Just seems to have lost the art of organic music in the 1990s a bit. Still, there's time for him to redeem himself.
