Zooey and Adam Theatrical Trailer

A new film by Sean Garrity coming to theatres this spring. Haunting and emotionally devastating, the 85 minute feature film ZOOEY & ADAM focusses on a couple who have been trying unsuccessfully to have a baby. After experiencing a traumatic attack, Zooey discovers that she is pregnant. Unsure of the parentage of their child, the couple decides to have the baby anyway. In the new film, the award-winning director accesses a level of emotional intimacy between characters and audience that is so close, it is almost uncomfortable, using a new technique he describes as Solo Cinema.

This film was wonderful. The acting was so raw and the filmic style was so involving. These characters will never leave my mind. The form and content of this film blend seamlessly together, creating a link between spectator and screen that is more emotionally provocative than the biggest Hollywood blockbuster. I hope more films that deal with such important issues in such a beautiful, delicate, and thoughtful manner get made in the future.
