Would have liked to continue the discussion further but didn't fancy standing in the middle of the road. Annoyed I didn't get his reg though...

fair enough he shouldn't have been in the middle of the road (although that's fine in europe, and it works) but the bus driver gained nothing cutting the cyclist up, the bus driver should have patiently waited.

Cyclists have just as much right to be there as buses, pity the bus driver decided to use his vehicle to try and impose some sort of hierarchy. A very dangerous game and if he'd have clipped you I'd imagine he'd learn the hard way.

@Toby01976 Um yeah...some cyclists do weave in and out of traffic. Nobody ever denied that! But this cyclist WASN'T doing that....And how does that relate to the stuff about the horn?

Still waiting for the official report that you quoted about that Chiswick cyclist, and the video that you keep referring to about this incident. :)

@Toby01976 Your last comment implies that you believe that the cyclists are at fault because there are SOME cyclists that don't abide by the road rules.

Unfortunately, that is not the case. SOME motorists act recklessly, but it's incorrect to say that all motorists are dangerous drivers. The same is applicable here - you can not generalize and make stereotypical remarks as all situations and the individuals involved are unique.

@Squirtle92 Seriously listen to yourself. How many RTA fatalities do you hear about in the papers. Most accidents with cyclists are caused by the cyclist weaving around traffic. I know of at least seven other deaths involving lorries buses and coaches Think Bike also applies to cyclists have/can I been seen and as I say large vehicles have massive blind spots and the mirrors are limiting, hence the new posters showing cyclists in the blind-spot and the sicker on lorries about passing inside

Needless to say, thousands of cyclists are beeped at every day without falling of their bikes. One dying from such an event is an exception, not the rule. A woman died from dying her hair. Does that mean all people dying their hair will also kick the bucket? NO!

Get video, put video up, end of story. I don't care how you get it and don't want to hear your excuses - just do it.

Oh, and leave out the profanities. We're adults, are we not? I'm entitled to my opinion, as are you. At present, there is no evidence to say that the cyclist was at fault.
