  • Damn, I have no idea what he said, and it was still beautiful.

  • Jens Lekman: When youre 17-18, your expected to accept the fact that the only thing you can ever do is go to a shabby rehearsalspace and play rock music with bass and drums. But I never really liked that kind of music, so I found out that I could sit at home and sample strings and stuff instead. Nobody else was interested in making such music so...

  • i love this version of the song :)

  • doesnt quite look like jens @ 0:42 pale, skinny and kind of fragile-looking; still very, very, very cute though =))))

he must be only about 22, 23 years old at the time?

  • He'll be in Eugene Oregon tonight, I'm so excited to talk to him :D!

  • Oh youre welcome

I might translate the rest later too.

  • thank you so much for the translations!

  • Thanks!

  • Jens Lekman: I hate playing in bands, I thought it was terrible. To go meet your bandmates and having to compromise your songwriting, and playing music that youre not really into, you know. So for me it was completely natural to sit at home doing it by myself instead.

  • Host at beginning:

To sit at home and make music yourself is usually associated with minimalistic acoustic red wine-romanticism. If you also add computers to this aesthetic, it´s usually considered even more introvertive. Music more for the person making it than for a person listening. At least that´s the common opinion. Musikbyrån has met three swedish exceptions from this rule. Three new artists who´d rather make music alone than being in bands.

  • Any volunteer to translate the interview, please?
