Chelmsford City V Eastleigh 04-10-08.

After a dismal display last week in the FA Cup, which ended with the fans showing their discontent with the players, a rejuvenated City side set about moving themselves up the league with a display that clearly both the fans and the players enjoyed.
Eastleigh never really got going in the blustery conditions in the Gulag. The pace and control of the home side resulted in a spate of fouls from Eastleigh who were lucky just to get a handful of yellow cards without having any players dismissed. The visitors goal keeper pulled off some brilliant saves to keep the score respectable as his inept defence crumbled before him.
At last we were provided with a referee and assistants who were up to the job and in the main part let the game flow.
