thats not normal escort rough idle that sounds just like mine it was vacuum leak replaced rubber elbows in 5 minutes you'll be back in action just fixed mine 2 days ago

you could pipe your idle outside of your intake... it will idle like normal and when you step on it it cuts the idle and goes to full boost ^_^

Since the car doesn't use the maf for the idle... thats what i did.

hey swear its a bad seal on intake piping , or the maf is bad on car. I have had 2 zx2s with same problem and both fixed that way. idlles at 900 rpm all day

turbo, there isn't a vac leak. i bet there is just to much air, drop some bigger fuel injectors and i bet it will help even it out, or you need to reprogram the ecu... go with wolf it works good with my zx2

yep mine does the sem thing sep when it starts my RPMs go up to 2000 RPM then back down to 1000 RPM

I'm guessing you already fixed this. But if you haven't there is a vacuum leak. There is a small hose on the back of the throttle body that likes to pop off when, if you hit boost. Use a zip tie or clamp to hold it on.
