Are folks so rude 'cause it's the web & anonymous? Cut the kid some slack. Just watching the form & how it's done, it appears he's a young man maybe 6 to 12 months or so into training. For that time, he's doing pretty damn well. I've spent 31 yrs in another fighting style than wing chun. Do I see errors in execution, e.g., not using body rather than just stick. Yup. So what? It's a young man doing his best on the day & posted here to share that. I appreciate his effort.

nice... not bad at all... how long have you been training staff?
So...why does he have to spin it over his neck? What good does that to?

@Berengier817 The spin is meant to demonstrate mastery of the weapon. Here are the three steps of practising a weapon:
1. Do the basic form
2. Make it nice and effective (precision and strength)
3. Add juggling to demonstrate total ease and harmony with the object
This particular form is not excellent, but meant to demonstrate a little bit more advanced movements.
