El Tzotzil se puede aprender en San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, en varios lugares: Por ejemplo, CELALI (Centro Estatal de Lengua, Arte y Literatura Indígena), o en La Casa del Árbol (Escuela de Idiomas), o en la Facultad de Lenguas de la UNACH (Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas), entre otros. Allí se dan cursos.
