Bushido Blade Red Shadow Story Mode 1st Ending

Welcome to my walkthrough of Bushido Blade for the original Playstation.

This game was developed by Light Weight & published by Squaresoft.

This game was released on March 14, 1997 in Japan, September 30, 1997 in North America, & February 1, 1998 in Europe.

Bushido Blade plays very differently from other fighting games, in that there is no health bar. You pick 1 of 10 weapons to use on 1 of 6 character, & fight in a samurai style fight. 1 good hit to the head or torso will win the fight. A good hit to the arm or leg will cripple you. In other words it's as close to an actual sword fight as video games could get back then.

In the story mode you must fight by the rules of Bushido, which means, DO NOT ATTACK when your opponent is talking, wait for them to be ready, & never EVER hit them in the back. If you fight dishonorably, then when you beat the other selectable characters you will get a message basically calling you a coward & the game ends.

The story of the game, is there is a secret society of ninja assassins. 1 day 1 of the members tries to escape the compound & the other members are sent to kill him/her.

In this video we play as my personal favorite character, Red Shadow, known as Hotarubi in Japan. She is a Russian ninja that is trying to stop her master from fighting the corrupt dojo master because she knows at best, they'll just kill each other.

There are 2 endings per character, I will be trying to get both endings, but I need some practice for the 2nd endings.

For the 1st ending, just beat the game & follow Bushido.
