TranStar Racing™, LLC is proud to introduce America's greatest, most powerful, world record-setting Supercar: the Dagger GT™!

The TranStar vision is to satisfy the passion of zealous supercar enthusiasts by building the world's first 300 mph Supercar, the Dagger GT™, using a routinely-built Tom Nelson 2000 horsepower racing engine and a unique, edgy , carbon fiber design for the body. Your customized Dagger should also defeat all the other Supercars by wide margins in the 0-60 and quarter mile based on its horsepower-to-weight ratio which will also be a record for our class.

As engineers, we have a built-in desire and mission to do all of this cost-effectively while improving quality to match or defeat any luxury sports car in the world. In short, our goal is to be the number 1 world-class supercar in every category: quality, appearance, performance and value, with minimal risks.

Philosophy: No Risk Policy -- No R&D
We will use existing, proven automotive fabricators and experts. We will assemble the car using an experienced assembly team and the best-of-the-best, proven-and-tested, USA-manufactured, state-of-the-art parts and components. There is no need to invent new engines when Tom Nelson is the best and is already doing it. 'Buy it: don't invent it.' We use only proven parts and systems, except for our 300 mph 6-speed transaxle which will be unique and custom-designed and built by America's top transaxle builder, Mike Mendeola.

The Dagger GT™ will be a race car, but it will be very "streetable" too. Tom's engine can be computer-mapped to run without boost at lower horsepower levels for street operations, and then dial up maximum boost and inject racing gas, automatically, increasing engine output up to 2000 hp when wide open - - without leaving the cockpit!

Ride height can also be adjusted from the cockpit as can the amount of sound from the exhausts - - from silent to wide-open, or anywhere in between. The chassis and suspension are also a balanced blend of race and comfort, customizable to buyer specs. Light-footed street driving will produce reasonable gas mileage for a big block engine. The Dagger will meet 49 state EPA emission.

*Notes: All calculations based on accepted engineering formulas and 2000 hp/3000 lb input assumptions

  • how are you supposed to catch traction with such horsepower the..take a look at the ssc ultima aero it has to reach 5th gear in order to catch traction and it only has like about 1.200 horsepower

  • @mrk2ovtec Equal-length A-arms keep the wheels flat like a solid axle would and they keep the rear wheels from cambering inward, so we get a nice flat patch to grip the surface. The Dagger GT comes with extra-wide rear wheel wells capable of holding Pro Stock slicks or fat sticky DOT ET Drag tires. We also employ a drag racing clutch, special gearbox, torque converter and shifter not to mention our custom drag racing system with twin hydraulically-launched chutes.

  • I cant see it doing 0 - 60 in 1.2 seconds.... unless the tyres are 3 ft wide

  • why is it always v8 twin turbo why not make a unique engine for it.

  • @BuzzBoi315 The prototypes should be ready this Summer.

  • I hope you guys succeed. I look forward to seeing a real video of the car instead of a computer animation. Even if you don't reach your 300mph benchmark, it'll still be something to appreciate.

  • @bigbudha168 As a matter of a fact, it produces far more than 3000, seeing as how only about 15 % of the energy from combustion is actually used for locomotion.

I remember hearing that the human body loses all but 33 % of the energy it produces as heat, and that internal combustion engines use about half to a quarter of that. 13 % or something.

Also, for the guys behind this car:

When might we see some fruit for your efforts?

  • @waydlemx 1. The Nelson engine for this car is a 572 with TWO turbos. 2. The engine for the Dagger produces 2000 hp on race fuel, not 2500 hp, so it's prolly the hotrod series engine. 3.The Veyron engine is 8 ltr. the 572 = 9.37340 ltr. 4. The Veyron SS engine is street leagal. What are you on about?!

  • @xXDrNisse1Xx Well, the Bugatti is a street leagal car. I highly doubt that Tom Nelson's 572 TT will meet any emission/noise laws. And on another note, the Veyron SS runs on pump gas. If you want 2000 hp from the 572, you have to run race gas. As a street car, it will not make it. And that ruins the idea. There are lots of non street cars that are faster than the Veyron, It has to be able to set the world record in street trim, AND be a serial production car with licence plates. A "wet dream".

  • Nice presentation video for wanna-be-buyers.

  • well looks like the best mix for the best car performance ever made is as follows : country :USA+ best transaxel mr Mandeola + best turbos mecanics Tom Nelson+ here is the part i love the best Best engine GM BIG BLOCK CHEVY ja ja I always knew that GM builds the best engines in the world , i just coudnt be more convenced really this is not a coicidence any more , cuz all ready they are to many supercars unknown brands by many ,using chevy small block and bigblock engines , keep it up GM.

  • Why isn't this gonna be AWD? I'm worried...

    Price?

    Weight?

    Reliability(stress on more parts)?

There must be a reason right?

  • what makes me laugh is that it is half the price of a bugatti and way faster.......im toataly going to buy this car someday
