Here I'm trying out some of the many video effects in the ToonIt software. Dusty the Cat does the visuals, and the music is by a different Dusty, Dusty Smith.

  • how exactly do this work? do you GOT to have a host application with this? if so, can i use sony vegas? and if i need a host, how do i put it in there?

  • @HomeTownPublishing Am I ever glad you mentioned Sony Vegas. :) I looked it up, and I'm hooked. I'll probably be getting the full version before my 30 days runs out. Now I know you meant a host video app and the newer ToonIt plugins for them. The old ToonIt that I used above doesn't need a host app, it's a program of its own, but if the new one works as a plugin on the SV in the future, I'll probably get that too.

  • @ScentedNectar yea the tooner you got i tried and i liked it but it was trial so when i went to save it wouldnt let me and that led me on a search 'cause i was hooked. im bout to get that one 'cause its not expensive and it is very good.

but youre right, that sony is really good. thank yourself for bein a curious person. ha! now youve found a very good program.

im not too comfortable bout usin credit on internet but i think im gonna to get the toonit you got :o)

  • @HomeTownPublishing The one I have is now being called Cartoon Effect Creator. I guess that's because the other company has rights to the ToonIt name now or something.

I have a prepaid card just for internet use. The most it could ever get hacked for, is the amount I've topped it up to at the moment, rather than a specific credit limit. And if I top it up just before making a purchase, even that's not comprimised for long.

  • @ScentedNectar yea i had a card like that but it got compromised because of my use of it on internet. someone purchased plane tickets in india. i was very angry. went thru a lot to get my money back. so i stopped using credit cards on web, but i think i'll do like you, get one and keep it low.

yea it is cartoon effect creator. i didnt know it was toonit until i went to remove it. im gonna get that software in a few days :o)

  • @HomeTownPublishing Plane tickets? That's like evil or something. It's bad enough to lose your money, but now the thief is having a fun vacation with it. :( If it helps any to know, there were no problems with my card after buying the Cartoon Creator a few months ago. Hearing what happened to you makes me think I better remember to only top the card up to what I'm about to immediately use. Sometimes I let it go a few days or so.

  • @HomeTownPublishing sounds like you got the right idea :o) so you will be ok

  • yea i found out you got the $5 toonit. thought it was red giant toonit at first. sorry

  • @HomeTownPublishing I'm not really sure what you're talking about. I don't know about hosts or sony vegases, whatever that is. Are you referring to the special effects software I used? ToonIt runs on Windows, if that's what you mean by a host app.

  • Oh creepy!!!! = cool thought!!! XD
