I am Sri Lankan. It is sad these foreigners have no idea that we innocent Sri Lankans are governed by a corrupt family. Thuggery, violence, intimidation, corruption and nepotism are rampant. As a visitor you will not notice the down side. Otherwise this is a beautiful Island with a long Buddhist /Hindu cultural history, sunny sandy beaches and breath taking sceneries with tea plantations extending to the horizon, water falls, wild elephants, exotic birds, friendly people and many more

How beautiful! I wish it was still known as Ceylon which I think fits it much better and gives one that heavenly tea scent as it rolls off the lips. Sri Lanka (formerly, Ceylon) is the home of Ceylon Tea, my favorite! That is why when I decided to have a private label tea created only one tea would do, Ceylon!
