Random Guy #1 Okay, see you tomorrow, Doc!
Doc Tomorrow, then.
Random Guy #1 - ♪ la did a ♪
Doc Hmmm.. What is this? Oh, look, on the side! IT says Scoop Satellite Project Wildfire, Hmmm, what does that mean? Oh well, better get to sleep!

Setting: Lieutenant Edgar Comroe is monitoring a cover recovery mission at the Vandenberg military base. He is connected via comlink to two persons named Shawn and Crane who are in a van headed for Piedmont, Arizona to recover one of the Scoop mission satellites. The mission of these satellites is to orbit the earth while collecting bacteria in the upper atmosphere and, once they return, the bacteria is to be analyzed by scientists hoping to discover new life-forms. The militarys objective is slightly different, though.. they are hoping to find new biological weapons.. Both teams will be finding more than they bargained for.


Shawn - This is Caper One to Vandal Deca, Caper One to Vandal Deca. Are you reading? Over.
Comroe Yes. Over.
Shawn We are about to enter the town of Piedmont and recover the satellite.
Comroe Very good, Caper One. Leave your radio open.
Shawn Roger.

*Comroe Overhears Conversation Over Open Radio Lines*

Shawn Pretty quiet around here.
Crane Yes sir.
Pause
Crane Sir?
Shawn Yes?
Crande Did you see that?
Shawn see what?
Crane Back there, on the sidewalk, it looked like a body.
Shawn Youre imagining things.
Pause
Shawn Jesus.
Crane Its another one, sir.
Shawn Looks dead.
Crane Shall I----
Shawn No. Stay in the van.

*Back to Regular Transmission*
Comroe Reading you. Whats happened?
Shawn Sir, we see bodies, lots of them. They appear to be dead.
Comroe Are you certain, Caper One?
Shawn For Christs sake, of course were certain.
Comroe Proceed to the capsule, Caper One.
Comroe Pushes Security Disallowing Anyone To Come or Go
Comroe Calls his superior, Major Manchek
Shawn (In background again) Do they look dead to you, Crane?

Crane Yes sir. Kind of peaceful, but dead.
Shawn Somehow they dont really look dead. Theres something missing. Something funny But theyre all over. Must be dozens of them.
Crane Like they dropped dead in their tracks.
Pause
Crane Sir!
Shawn Jesus.
Crane You see him? The man in the white robe, walking across the street---\
Shawn I see him.
Crane Hes just stepping over them like ---
Shawn Hes coming towards us.
Crane Sir, look, I think we should get out of here, if you dont mind my---

The next sound was a high-pitched scream, and a crunching noise. Transmission ended at this point, and Vandenberg Scoop Mission Control was not able to raise the two men again.
