My 34 year old son, Adam, had a brain stem stroke on 6-12-2008. This resulted in the Neurologist's diagnosis of "Locked-In Syndrome", which means Adam could only blink his eyes and move his eyes up and down, not side to side. The team of doctors wanted us to let him go, (die).
Adam's brother, Deryk, took it upon himself to encourage him to fight like no one has ever done before to LIVE, and live he did. His recovery is truly
a miracle. Here are a few videos of Adam on the state of the art technology, Lokomat, helping Adam to learn to walk again. This occurred at the wonderful Shepherd Rehab. Center in Atlanta, GA.

  • I have a hard time comprehending how dedicated and hard working Adam is. I can not even imagine what it would take to be as strong and motivated as he. I pray he never gives up and gains full control being again able to play ball!!!
