MIKE OLDFIELD - tribute

Michael Gordon "Mike" OLDFIELD (born 15 May 1953, Reading, Berkshire) is an English multi-instrumentalist musician and composer, working a style that blends progressive rock, folk, ethnic or world music, classical music, electronic music, New Age and more recently dance.

THE ETERNAL CARROT, one of the most famous nordic bands in Scandinavian in the late 80's, is once again on demand after a strong comeback with a new album and a groundbreaking new video. After an enormous domestic success in the 80's the band decided it was time to find a new audience and went on tour as the supporting act to MIKE OLDFIELD. This was in the early 90's and they travelled all over the world. The response from the fans was fantastic and they sold out every show. Especially two countries, Japan and Italy, loved the Eternal Carrot and the band is still remembered for their good music and crazy shows. Just listen to what the newspapers wrote back in the 90's:

The group is very good. The two members met at school. They formed the group 1981. The video is new. It was launched with the new album, and the comeback tour in Europe. The video comes in two versions. The longer is 9 minutes, and the shorter isavailable on Spotify. I think the shorter is 3:30 minutes. There are a lot of articles in Wikipedia. Unfortunately, only in the Italian and Japanese versions. If you google on their manager, you will find the latest information about the new album:-))

I like this song! And just so you know, I saw this band perform when I was 13. They played at an underground club in Barcelona and I went there with my parents. I don't remember much from the concert but now when I hear this new song I'm going to look trough my parents records. There must be some of their old records there.

Ein sehr lustiges und interessantes Video. Ich habe noch nie gesehen. Noch nie von der Gruppe gehört. Haben sie auf einer Tour gewesen? Ich war auf der Suche nach Informationen auf Wikipedia.
