  • marijuana is not more potent then ever before. this evidence came from a single source which compaired modern bc bud (confiscated in Seattle) against bud that had been sitting in a dry evidence locker for 30 years, the THC in the "old bud" measured less then .04% less then what is burned in the conversion (smoking) process. more significant then that number is the fact the number in question was thc. among the most harmless substances known to man. its ld50 is so low it can't be measured.

  • @eventheinnocent actually, marijuana IS more potent than before. research by several independent groups shows that most marijuana is now hydroponically grown -- which in many cases makes it quite a bit "more potent," as you say. The link to the study can be found at the International Centre for Science on Drug Policy. It's called "Tools for Debate: US Federal Government on Data on Cannabis Prohibition."

  • Wow.. 10 seconds into this video and already hearing lies, disinformation, and fact-spins... Whiskey is more potent than beer, this only means that less of it is required to get desired effect (and in marijuana's case, means it is healthier) ... And virtually -no one- goes to marijuana rehab programs. These statistics come from small-amount possessors who are -required- to join through the courts..

  • @Casper48022 You are right. Whiskey is "more potent" than beer in its "concentration," if you will. You can gauge, therefore, how much you drink. Many marijuana users, however, can't be sure of what it is he/she is actually ingesting. Additionally, marijuana is not "healthier" than alcohol, caffeine or any other substance. Pot actually contains many of the same cancer-causing chemicals found in tobacco.

  • @PDFNC Only one problem with that logic. No one has ever Over Dosed on Marijuana, and not one single case of marijuana-caused cancer exists on the record. In fact, many anti-cancer agents have been studied/discovered in marijuana (even from smoking it).

  • @Casper48022 an "over dose" death is not the only criteria for a substance to be considered harmful. As far as anti-cancer agents: your statement is a bit misleading. In one study a couple of years ago, one of the main substances in marijuana (THC) was given in vitro to mice to attempt to reduce already existing tumors. This study does not speak to the OTHER chemicals in marijuana joints and/or those long-term affects from use.

  • @mrbored1234567890 actually, marijuana is the number one drug for which people go to "rehab" in this country. while there is little evidence to suggest there can be a "marijuana overdose," research shoes plenty of people "die" while on the drug due to lapses in judgement, just as they can with alcohol abuse. there are drug-related car wreck fatalities, just as there are "alcohol-related" ones.

  • hahahaha weed isnt addictive and nobody in the world has gone to rehab for weed addiction before... and nobody has died from it either so how bad could it even be...

  • lies
