The Lost Hat Expedition

At the conclusion to the fall Gorge Rat Gathering in Linville Gorge I spent Sunday Oct 30th 2011 hiking with fellow Gorge Rats Waterbar Jim, Ken and IDCakes hiking in the Jonas Ridge section of Linville Gorge. One of our primary goals was the locating of Ken's lost Gorge Rat Brazilian "Real Deal" Hat. Lots of miles on that one and a lot more to come so it was important to find it. Lost while tied on his backpack during a hike out of the area three days earlier.
