Rebuilt from the ground up, every part in need of replacement was replaced. Billet front and rear backing plates, billet chain guide, billet triple clamps, billet head stay, billet case saver, new Sun rims and Bucannon spokes. Powder coated frame and fork legs. Rechromed fork tubes, Thor swingarm. Maico only pipe, F.M.F. silencer. Magura hydrulic clutch. 2nd over bore with new piston and rings, pin, bearing and clips. Cylinder has been Nikosealed. Rebuilt crank. This was a 250 and it still has the 250 cases, all I need to do is pull out the crank stuffers and install a 490 crank and top end. It has a 250 clutch basket, I like the quicker reving motor. the gears have been changed in the transmission for the correct 490 gears. New primary chain, all new gaskets main bearings and seals. Every bearing and seal in the bottom end has been replaced. New swingarm bearings. Aluminum brake rod with heim ends. Renthal bars with A.S.V. front brake perch and lever. All new cables. New compression release. New plastic, chain, sprockets, tires, tubes and rim locks. New P.V.L. ignition. Wide foot pegs. New brake shoes. Rebuilt Bing carburetor. New rubber boot from air-box to carburetor. New fork seals and bushings and heavy duty fork springs. New Ohlins rear shocks sprung for 250 pound rider. New air filter and cage. New drain plug. All nuts and bolts have been either dipped and chromed or replaced. This bike has the best of everything and was built by by former factory Maico rider Carlos Serrano. Has only been ridden in the back of the shop once to check for oil leaks and make sure everything worked correctly Race or Showroom bike.

  • Fucking perfect!

  • @Vintage490 Would $7,000 Cash buy it?

  • @maircomusic1 yes it's not 100% original but the guy did a beautiful job on it.. It's not overdone.

  • Don't quite get these blinged up maicos - this one must be about 30% actual maico, the rest is just unnecessary mods and disgusting anodised billet parts... and what's with the hydraulic clutch? You may aswell have fitted discs front and back, and installed a water cooled system. Just my opinion

  • @2strokestanky yea it sucks but i would recomend finding a blown up one in a dump or something i got a 87yz 125 for 100 dollars! all it needed was a new piston and tires

  • Absolute cracker mate ! I had the 250 as my first motocross bike. Left side kickstart took a bit of getting used to .

I can still smell the Castrol R :-)

  • how can ppl dislike this!!!!!???????????/

  • Damn that's nice. You just can't get that feeling outa the new stuff. Of course I remember the early 70's stuff even better. these new 38" seats are messing me up! I miss my husky wr 450 desert and cr 400!

  • beautiful,i wish i grew up in those days.all we got now are 4 strokes.....

  • race with it! you have to race against 4 stroke's an beat them ;p than set it in a showroom wait 50 years and you are rich!
