Service and Food Workers Union members perform the haka outside the entrance to the Rendezvous hotel in Auckland. The workers have been locked out by their employer. They have not had a payrise for over 2 years, and their boss offered them a 1.5% payrise only if they agreed to a number of clawbacks to existing entitlements, including cuts to sick leave, affordable parking and subsidised health insurance. They are not willing to sell these conditions for around 22c an hour more!
