Seems like there should have been a pair of closet bolts sticking out of the flange before he set the toilet onto the wax ring. Now there's nothing to tighten the toilet down with. Or maybe there are brass nuts in the flange, and he's going to screw a bolt in? It's hard to see for sure. Maybe it's explained in a separate video.

Ideally it's supposed to be 80 degrees fahrenheit in the room so that the wax flows when you crush it. I use a heater and sometime also a heat gun to warm the area much more than the wax ring itself.
