Shari 'a Law exists in words only in the country but it is not in proper practice today. There hasn't been an execution in the country in many decades and thieves do not have their hands chopped off, and people don't get lashes for having sex. Maldives is one of the few Islamic countries in the world that have moved on from Shari 'a Law practice.

You are just another cynical person that stereotypes Muslim countries because of minority terrorist groups in the Middle East.

i hear buddhist and hindu are not able to live on the island even though it was buddhist from Vajrayana Buddhism branch which was influanced by hinduism that first settled in the maldives.

so in other words its a twisted little nut case island that was from another cultures findings which islam forced the conversion of the people and now they replaced the real blood line of the island

I live on Earth. Arab countries follow a different culture, Middle-Eastern and North African countries are Arabic, you will find that their culture (outside of Islam) is very similar. But in Indonesia/Malaysia their culture is different to Arabic culture even though the two countries are prominently Muslim. But my main point, is that Maldives does not follow strict Shari'a based law. They follow it loosely without the extreme punishments

Do you live on Mars? All of the countries I mentioned are Islamic. Makes no difference whether it's arab or black or "any other race" muslims (although there are Caucasian muslim countries and they don't do any such sh1t).

I quote myself, "Shari'a law exists in words only in the country" The country I'm talking about is Maldives and Shari'a law is not practiced strictly in Maldives. How do I know? I worked in Maldives for 6 years. Other Arab countries are way different to Maldives, they are extremely strict compared to Maldives, for example in Indonesia you can get 16 or more years jail for drug trafficking while its less than 7 in Maldives. I don't stereotype at all

No we don't stereotype - you do this yourself. See what's happening in the arab world right now? Syria, Egypt? I've been to "democratic" arab countries (Kuwait, Dubai) and there's no democracy there. I've heard tourists in Dubai being put in jail for having a poppy seed (a single seed) in their pockets and the poppy seed wasn't even the variety used to make drugs - it was the edible variety that people put on muffins and bread. It's not stereotyping - it's what's actually happening.
