In the NTSC version, there's a branch between the point on which he landed and the ledge from which he jumped. It was that branch which was removed, not the landing point.

@Donut117 I just managed to get the artifact without gravity suit. All you have to do is lock on with scan visor to something and jump backwards to the corner on your left side in the area before the wave beam door. It was quite easy actually. About as easy to do as the echoes 101%. Just have to get that right kind of jump that like ''slide'' you.
And I wonder if anyone else has even tried this?

probably using players choice version.

@ Saberclaw1337 actually u can get it on wii if u get metroid prime trilogy on wii
-
@Donut117 yes u are absolutely right but the fact that the wavebuster is in your arsenal u can get thru the game a lil quicker (wavebuster is powerful but the ammo it takes is a lil too much lol.) bosses will fall to you tho hahahaha

@djblackjack19187 youre going to have to go back there anyway after you get the gravity suit. im pretty sure one of the chozo artifacts is in the little room right next to that big room with the wave buster in it.

what i did to do it was go to the other side of the boost ball track and just double jump over. It might take a few tries though.

He's right to an extent I did this exact thick on my own but I landed on a branch that I noticed had been removed from this version, but I jumped from the exact same place. Obviously he just found something else to land on. Oh and BTW at least on hard you need at least 72 missiles to get it. 6 missiles per notch 4 notches per floor and 3 floors. Not counting missiles that miss cause you hit the little dudes. And the floating things that spawn don't give you missile refills.
in the PAL version, the little thing you stand on has been removed :/

I tried using wvebuster on thardus a few minutes ago and it didn't work that well. it wasn't on hrd mode but I'd guess its effectiveness would even less in that case. As far as damage per missile you'd probably be better off using super missiles. Ice spreader wouldn't work at all be cause it just bounces off. I don't kow how flamethrower would work but I don't think it has very good range and you might have to get too close for comfort too use it.

Yeah, I know. I tried it myself AFTER I wrote that description saying it would help you with Thardus. Sorry. Super missiles work best, I think. At least I cleared it with those.
