Doesn't help me, final cut keeps telling me it doesnt detect the camera even though it's linked fine through firewire. iMovie HD detects the camera, but final cut pro doesn't

Hey mate, can you pls help and advice me! I got a dilemma. Im new to all this green screen. I just want to know is it possible for me to add my self dancing with this girl on a music video and change the backround of the music video with me and her in it. remember, she is not with me in reality, i want to add myself next to her but most important of all change the crap backround she has in to some other nice effects! thanks in advance!!

I can use adobe premiere cause my universty were only teach adobe to us. All post pro programms have same basic things actually but there is no doubt final cut is better than it. trust me adobe have really serious problems
