@Halofanbiggest It is not viewed as scientifically correct as it isnt - it is pseudoscience. Form a solar physics point of view (the Sun's magnetic field has not stengtened the cornerstone of his argument); the CR flux has not chnaged; the cosmic rays that do make it to Earth are absorbed too high in the atmosphere; as nucleation centers they suck; and there has been no change in cloud cover. The final nail is Chernobyl - it released 1000s of time more perticles than CRs - no clouds resulted.

@Halofanbiggest Sorry, no scientist but Svenmark thinks that. The experiment (I assume you mean the CERN one) if you read the associated paper it says that the mechanism works (as we all knew if you played with a cloud chamber in college) but that it was 100 time less efficient than it needed to be to have a measureable effect on climate. Than in science terms is a FAIL!

@drkstrong Unfortunatley though this theory was not scientifically viewed upon with the right perspective as it is supposedly "politically incorrect" to speak out against global warming these days.

@drkstrong They have in fact changed. And his pattern is spot on as it is not a theory any more it is proven with experimental and empirical evidence. Thus a proven theory making it a law of climate. This is how every single other climate discovery was made ever on this earth.

Problem with Svensmark's theory is that we measure the number of cosmic rays hitting the earth and th epattern has not changed.
