@MrDaniel5974 no hot showers?!?!?! nooooo, but it makes the poison ivy feel sooo much better :( I heard cold showers help, is this true? and im going to the doctor tomawroo, when the give you stuff, whats the FASTEST way it gets better? because I got spring break coming up in in 9 days, and I can't have poison ivy on my face -_-

none of this things works, IT DOES NOT WORK!!! I tried them all and the best thing to do is get in your car and go to a walk in clinic, get a shot and a prescription and get over with it. Hot water make it worst it feel so good but just makes matter worst, salt water help a little. I am high alergic to it and I am telling you go and get a SHOT!!! and a PRESCRIPTION!!!!

The way i get ride of mine is...... I will take a dry cloth and ill scratch open the spots that is infected by the ivy...... and then i will take alcahol and rube it ontop of it.. Caution it herts like hell but i promis you it will kill it withing that day or the next day repeat it atleast twice a day or more till burning sinsation stops.. This works guys

Forgot to mention to let the adam and eve wash sit for a minute or so while washing.

And poison ivy oils from the plant not from your skin can stay on a surface like boots ,tools,clothing etc for 3 years.So clean them out. Dead poison ivy plants can still infect you.

The hot water thing is my opinion, and many doctors say not to do this but i have been doing this for 20 years.

Instead of waiting for days for newer ones to pop up, hot water will make them pop up instantly.

I forgot to mention if you have poison ivy and u have to work outside use pink caladryl not that clear stuff that's like gel and comes off easy..and apply allot its messy but it absorbs the oils and keeps them from spreading,of course you do have to wash and reapply several times a day.

As far as doctors they can speed up the healing by giving steroid type injections and medicine.
