John Bul Dau was a Lost Boy - one of the almost 30 thousand who fled the killing in the Southern Sudan in that country's civil war. He's one of the subjects of the award-winning documentary "God Grew Tired of Us" about Lost Boys relocated to the U.S. and the author of a memoir of the same name. He heads three non-profit organizations - raising money to help other Lost Boys get health care and education - and for badly needed clinics in the Southern Sudan. With humour, dedication and incredible optimism, John Bul Dau's story is not to be missed. John Bul Dau will be appearing on Saturday Oct 25 at a benefit for 4Life Foundation with Toronto Mass Choir at 190 Railside Road.

  • All the lost boys are so courageous to survive in those situations. Eating mud and grass to survive, escaping lions, hyennas and a civil war . John Bul Dau, at the age of 13, had to bury a lot of people that died along the way. If all of us could love and help each other like their tribe, the world would be in a much better place. Everyone must watch "God Grew Tired of Us".
