Metal might conduct electricity, but metal doesn't attract electricity.
If lightning is going to hit you, you're probably dead regardless. Might as well be dry while you get toasted.

were did you buy the heavy duty space blanket??

"....so we can all learn from each other........" Truly, this is the name of the game.

Yes! I will DEFINITELY want to wear a metalized poncho during a thunderstorm!

@iRacist The trick is DUCT TAPE!!! Tape the corners by folding a piece about 14 inches long and sticking it onto each corner, leaving about 3 inches hanging off the corner. You can then double or triple the duct tape that's hanging off the corner, punch a hole thru this, and connect your rope or paracord to this. This will give you the strength you need to tie your disposable space blanket. Make sure it's dry....I know, this is common since. Duct tape grips like a gorilla to your blanket. WOOT!

I paid 12 bucks for mine. And it was well worth it. They are extremly versitile. I would highly recommend one.

that reusable came in handy for me.
but unfortunately its only good for one or two uses because the aluminum rubs off easily.

Yeah, you're right. However I have an"Original Space Blanket" Brand that I've gotten a few uses out of. It looks like it's got a couple left in it too. Unless it unexpectedly rips on me. I also bought an"Adventure Medical Kits" brand blanket. I'm gonna test it out soon. Supposedly they make alot less noise than the standard ones. Thanks For The Comment.
