Who represents Islam in Britain Now?

The government does not know who represents Muslims in Britain. They had been using the 'Muslim Council of Britain' (MCB) for that role, but no longer, since the MCB are not following the government's line on certain issues (holocaust memorial, Iraq, and policing, etc...). This will always be a difficulty, since Muslims cannot separate the 'Mosque from the State', and therefore make every secular problem a personal religious one, a dilemma Christianity does not have.

i would not say the MCB is a reflection of islams non seperation of state and religion....they are a minority and just like all minorities they have formed groups so their concerns are stressed politically....Just like their are christian groups in the US etc
