This sounds like a totally different piece of music when you hear it play so fast. Its a piece for one to feel it in your heart not to dance!. Play it slowly like striking each note with a feather. You will notice the difference!...

Not only way too fast, but also way too loud, and way too 'matter-of-fact'! It's a Nocturne, which means it should sound as being invented on the spot, in a 'pensive' mood.

I agree wholeheartedly. And I can't believe they'd make you perform on a piano such as this one and in the condition it's in.

Way too fast! ! ! This piece needs some time to breathe. He plays like he's trying to get thru a painful doctor's examination.
As it happens I agree with you all. I think I would take it quite the bit slower next time. As for dynamics, you're right it sdounds quite loud, though it wasn't the most sympathetic piano.

Yes in the original, but many will know it by 'nocturne' which is the same thing! I've put both versions in the tags in any case.
